TaJazz School of Dance started with the purpose of Teaching the Artistic and Fitness benefits of DANCE to students of all ages & all levels. The Dance Experience that you will receive at TSOD will be FUN & ENCOURAGING. Our choreography, costumes, class work and music will be Age Appropriate & Family Friendly, Yet Trendy. We maintain small class sizes so your dancer receives the personal attention that they deserve.
Since 2004, TaJazz has been offering a valuable dance education in Eastern Jackson County. These same ideas still drive us today. Ms. Cheri began her training at the age of 3. Her training is versatile including Jazz, Tap, Acrobats, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hip And More. At 16-she was a Dance & Tumbling Instructor & Choreographer. Cheri danced Competitively at the Regional & National levels from ages 10-17 earning many top honors and National Championship titles. She was also a Raytown High School Jaywalker (dance team member) 1994-1996. At Age 18, Cheri started Performing Professionally at the Blue Velvet Theater in Branson, MO dancing in the Bobby Vinton Show. As a professional dancer, Cheri's talents were recognized by being hired to dance for Walt Disney World (Festival of the Lion King as a Cheetah) and for Carnival Cruise Lines. She was a dance competition Judge at Headliners, Spotlight and Dance Champs Dance Competitions.
In 2004, Cheri & her husband, Mack Crowley, opened TAJAZZ School of Dance. Cheri & Mackie are proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Jillian & Jacqueline. Ms. Cheri Crowley continues to pass on her love of dancing in a supportive, caring manner. Some of her life goals are to teach happiness, self-confidence and pride through dancing with heart and technique.
Ballet, Pointe and Contemporary Instructor
Krystal Bryan began her dance training at Jo Noth’s White Oak Dance Academy in Blue Springs, Missouri. After graduating high school, she received both dance and academic scholarships to attend Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in Dance. While she was at Stephens she had the opportunity to choreograph many of her own pieces, one of which was chosen to be taken to the American College Dance Festival. Krystal is currently a professional Dancer with Vida Dance and has danced with City in Motion, as well as, Gurukul, a professional East Indian dance company. Throughout her career, Krystal has had the opportunity to choreograph many extraordinary pieces. Including her first full production "The Yellow Wallpaper. A Dance Into Madness" that premiered at Kansas CIty's Fringe Festival in 2017.
